The Creator

As the hours tick down to New Year's, I have already decided my "New Year's Resolution." I decided i wanted to attempt to read the entire bible in one year. I've wanted to try this for the past couple of years, but I have not been motivated enough to try. In my new found excitement, I went ahead and started to read the first chapter of Genesis.

I've read the chapter of the Bible many times before, so i knew what was going to occur-God creates the heavens, the earth, light, darkness, then man and woman, etc.... As i was reading, however, I thought about a "deeper" meaning behind the creation story. I discovered something that I have heard time and time again, but have never REALLY focused on. I discovered that one of the chief reasons behind the creation story is that it really is God's creation. Everything around us is God's creation.

For me, the most telling evidence that God is always with us is His creation. We can go outside at any given time and place, and we can "see" God and his creation. We can look at ourselves and say, "Yep! God made me." The same God who created the stars and galaxies made us. For me, this truth makes me feel accompanied with greatest love that there is...the love of God!

So I challenge you, to go outside look up at the stars, or at the tress, or the ocean, and just think. Our God created it ALL.

Hello friends! I have decided to start my own blog in order to spread the news of Jesus Christ on the Internet. Crazy...I know! My blog posts will simply be a way for new christians to understand more about God, and a way for christians to expand their knowledge through scripture and deep thought.
